You don't have to be a seamstress--or even like to sew--to enjoy using Designer Fabric! The colors and patterns in the Designer Fabrics are designed to coordinate perfectly with Stampin' Up! inks, card stock, Designer Series Paper, and other accessories, and are perfect for adding a stylish touch to traditional paper projects. If you do enjoy sewing, however, the beauty and high quality of Designer Fabric, available in an extra-wide fat quarter (18" x 26"), makes it perfect for use in quilting, clothing, home décor, or any other project you can think of.

Introducing a New Sound

Add a new dimension to your card making with sound! 

Our Holiday Mini Catalog introduces our pre-recorded and/or recordable cards.  Our Pre-recorded card plays an instrumental version of "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and you can play it over and over again.  Our recordable card lets you record a message up to 10 seconds and includes play, record and lock features to ensure message is set.

Cover the cards with cardstock or Designer Series Paper and embellish them for a more personal look.  Cards measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and fit in our padded envelopes. 

The Holiday Mini Catalog is Coming

September 1st is the first day the Holiday Mini Catalog will be available.

Classic Christmas Cheer

I haven't had much time to stamp lately, so here's a beautiful card made by Shanna Jensen that was posted on the demonstrator-only side of Stampin' Up!'s website. I absolutely love the classic look this card has.

Christmas Treats

Here's a fun tote you can make with your Box #2 Die for your Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. We did this project tonight in my Big Shot Class.

You simply cut out and put together two of the boxes with the exception of folding down the top cover of the box. Those will stay straight up & you'll use sticky strip to adhere the two boxes together back to back. Once they're together I punched with the large oval punch to make a handle & tied the ribbon through it. Then you simply decorate around the tote with patterned paper (which nicely covers your seams on the side of the tote).

This paper comes from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog and is actually one of the flocked designs from this group. I love feeling across the white areas where it's fuzzy! It's one of my favorite papers this year hands down. I may even incorporate it into my Christmas cards if I can ever get around to planning those! Please please please tell me I'm not the only one behind on things!

Quilted Thanksgiving

I'm back to the quilted look again! You can get countless looks just by switching the patterned papers you choose for your card. (and Thursday night stamp club ladies-this is one of our projects!).

The Finial Press embossing folder used on the chocolate chip card front is a Stampin' Up! exclusive and adds so much to the background of your card with such minimal effort. It's definitely a must have in my opinion!

Joy Blocks

Here's a cute idea for the holidays! These wood blocks can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog & are so easy to decorate.

 

Instructions

1. Score Old Olive textured card stock vertically at 2-13/16" and 5-3/4". Score Old Olive textured card stock horizontally at 1-3/4", 3-1/2", 6-1-4", and 9-1/8". Remove left side and right sides of card stock down to first row of three squares, creating an upside down "T." 
2. Lay Décor Elements Décor Block on card stock, and adhere. Wrap block, adhering each side.
3. Repeat steps one and two for remaining blocks.
4. Round corners of Whisper White card stock pieces using 3/16" Corner Rounder punches. Decorate as desired using Holiday Mix Décor Elements and embellishments.

Make Merry Card

Here's another card courtesy of Stampin' Up!'s demonstrator website. It's so great to have all of these ideas right at my fingertips!

 Instructions

1. Dry emboss Kraft card stock using Sizzix Big Shot and Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions embossing folder.
2. Ink branch image using Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers. Stamp image on Whisper White card stock. Stamp bird image in Soft Suede ink above branch image.
3. Punch two scalloped squares from Real Red card stock using Scallop Square punch. Adhere to back side of Whisper White piece to create mini scalloped border along right edge.
4. Adhere Whisper White piece to embossed piece.
5. Adhere left edge of ribbon to back side of embossed piece using hot glue. Wrap around front of card stock, and secure using hot glue.
6. Adhere embossed card stock piece to card.
7. Begin folding ribbon over in an accordion, securing each fold with hot glue. Adhere right end of ribbon to card.
8. Stamp "Make merry!" in Soft Suede ink on Crushed Curry card stock. Adhere to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
9. Tie crochet thread through button in bow. Adhere button to card.

Christmas in October

We woke up yesterday morning to this:

Did you notice that the leaves are only starting to change on this tree? I was not very amused! But within hours it melted and we didn't get any more snow today. Though the last forecast I heard mentioned 2 - 4 inches tomorrow :-(

As much as I am not ready for the extreme cold and snow, it did make me start thinking about my Christmas cards! I really like this one that I put together tonight, but it won't be my card for this year. Maybe one of yours?
