I'm still here!

I feel like I've been neglecting you the last few days with not posting every day! I haven't disappeared - I'm just frantically getting ready for my open house on Thursday! See the details here. I'm getting make-n-take projects ready and rounding up all of my door prizes (including stamp sets & the new In-Color stamp pads!).

I'll be back tomorrow though with some blog candy! Polka-Dot Ribbon Sampler & Contest Reminder!

 

I absolutely LOVE this new 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon if I haven't already mentioned that! It will be available July 1st in these 6 new In-Colors (L-R): Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, and Melon Mambo. Last Chance-Retiring Stamps Contest Plus Watercolored Roses

Now on to our Watercolored Roses portion of the post. Here's another card I put together this afternoon using the watercoloring technique I described in yesterday's post.

      

Here's a color combination (Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango) I wouldn't normally put together but it really works with the colors already in the rose. It's a very simple and elegant card using Textured card stock, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon (with it's beautiful vanilla border), and the Clear Rhinestone Brads. Plus I rounded the corners of the pieces on the card front which I don't normally do. It adds a nice soft, gentle effect to the overall card.
