Petal Cone Die

Your next party is sure to be a hit when you give favors and gifts in this fun vintage looking petal cone! This is a brand new product from our Occasions Mini catalog which was just released on January 4th. 

You can use the banner element to attach a label or greeting to the petal cone and scalloped half circle to add huge decorative appeal to the flaps on top. You can also use these elements to create custom embellishments for any other cards or projects as well.

Thanksgiving Pumpkins

Happy Thanksgiving! Here are the Thanksgiving pumpkins I promised you yesterday (although you can really use these all through the fall season). They are so fun & easy to make and work great as a table decoration at your Thanksgiving dinner.

I used the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die to cut out the pumpkins themselves. Each pumpkin uses 12 scallop circles which are folded in half and adhered to each other. The stem is from the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlet Die and the leaves come from the Birds & Blooms Sizzlet Die.

Once you have the pumpkins together you do need to cut the bottom center scallops so they are no longer rounded. Otherwise your pumpkin will just roll across your table! Here's a little different view:

Christmas Treats

Here's a fun tote you can make with your Box #2 Die for your Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. We did this project tonight in my Big Shot Class.

You simply cut out and put together two of the boxes with the exception of folding down the top cover of the box. Those will stay straight up & you'll use sticky strip to adhere the two boxes together back to back. Once they're together I punched with the large oval punch to make a handle & tied the ribbon through it. Then you simply decorate around the tote with patterned paper (which nicely covers your seams on the side of the tote).

This paper comes from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog and is actually one of the flocked designs from this group. I love feeling across the white areas where it's fuzzy! It's one of my favorite papers this year hands down. I may even incorporate it into my Christmas cards if I can ever get around to planning those! Please please please tell me I'm not the only one behind on things!

Quilted Thanksgiving

I'm back to the quilted look again! You can get countless looks just by switching the patterned papers you choose for your card. (and Thursday night stamp club ladies-this is one of our projects!).

The Finial Press embossing folder used on the chocolate chip card front is a Stampin' Up! exclusive and adds so much to the background of your card with such minimal effort. It's definitely a must have in my opinion!

Boo!

Since it is Halloween today, here's one last Halloween project for you this year!

This fun wall hanging was one of the projects in my last Big Shot class. These classes are filled with awesome projects month after month and are quite in demand so start thinking now about signing up for my next round of classes starting in January! I am also thinking about adding some specialty Big Shot classes where we could get into sewing and other fun things so watch for more details on those in the new year. I just need to get past the holidays first before I get working on all of those details!

Make Merry Card

Here's another card courtesy of Stampin' Up!'s demonstrator website. It's so great to have all of these ideas right at my fingertips!

 Instructions

1. Dry emboss Kraft card stock using Sizzix Big Shot and Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions embossing folder.
2. Ink branch image using Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers. Stamp image on Whisper White card stock. Stamp bird image in Soft Suede ink above branch image.
3. Punch two scalloped squares from Real Red card stock using Scallop Square punch. Adhere to back side of Whisper White piece to create mini scalloped border along right edge.
4. Adhere Whisper White piece to embossed piece.
5. Adhere left edge of ribbon to back side of embossed piece using hot glue. Wrap around front of card stock, and secure using hot glue.
6. Adhere embossed card stock piece to card.
7. Begin folding ribbon over in an accordion, securing each fold with hot glue. Adhere right end of ribbon to card.
8. Stamp "Make merry!" in Soft Suede ink on Crushed Curry card stock. Adhere to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
9. Tie crochet thread through button in bow. Adhere button to card.
