Here's another card using that great quilted look like the card I posted yesterday. It's amazing the difference you get just by changing up the patterned papers and coordinating colors!
So here's the scoop on how you create this awesome look! To make the quilted piece you'll start by cutting a piece of card stock 5 x 3 3/4". You won't actually ever see this card stock so it doesn't matter what color you choose. I used whisper white for both of my cards. Then choose your assorted patterned papers and punch 12 squares with your 1 1/4" square punch. You'll layer these onto the white card stock and you'll end up with a piece that looks like this:
Once you have this piece put together you'll place it face down on your Top Note die and run it through your Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. I added the stitching with a black marker and it makes a world of difference on the finished product. Then finish it off with ribbon and your greeting. It really is a simple card to make but you'd never think that by looking at it. The ribbon I used on this card is retired from the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog a few months ago.
BUT-I have two rolls of this great Saffron ribbon to give away! Simply leave a comment on either of these quilted card posts letting me know what you think of this technique and you'll be entered in a random drawing where two lucky people will each win a roll of this ribbon. Contest ends this Sunday at 9:00 pm. (PLUS-keep watching the blog because I'll have another prize giveaway coming very soon!)
